Layni
Hi: My name is Layni and I am a childhood disease warrior. I was born on December 30, 2010 weighing one pound and 11 ounces. I was born with a childhood disease called Pulmonary Stenonis, which is the narrowing of the pulmonary valve. I had my first open heart surgery at 5 months old weighing 5 pounds. My surgery was done at Childrens Hospital in New Orleans on May 13, 2011.
Dr. Kattash is my pediatric cardiologist in Lake Charles. We see him every 6 months on a regular basis for routine follow ups. We are hoping and praying that my next heart surgery to replace the pulmonary valve will be when I am 10 or 12 years old but only time will tell as I grow.
My wish is to be a princess for a day because I love people and love to play dress up along with my twin sister, Lydia.
