Kinsley
Kinsley was born on January 25, 2012, and was a perfectly healthy little girl for four years. She was eagerly looking forward to starting Pre-K. In August of 2016, she was playing outside with her younger sister and cousin. Kinsley came in to the house to get something to eat and started having a TIA or mini stroke. She was transferred to Texas Children’s Hospital. Kinsley was diagnosed with an extremely rare disorder: L Cerebral Proliferative Angiopathy (multiple vascular malformations). Kinsley’s Neurosurgeon found four similar cases in the United States in which Kinsley was the youngest child with this condition. The disorder is not curable and cannot be operated on. Kinsley has had multiple TIA’s, two strokes, and numerous operations/ procedures. In October 2016, Kinsley’s Neurosurgeon preformed an experimental brain surgery in an attempt to protect some of her brain from damage during strokes. Kinsley goes to physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy two to three times a week and is doing very good through the grace of God! Kinsley is in very good spirits and is an absolute blessing to be around.
